What it is

What this service covers

A short, fixed-scope engagement to work out where AI is worth building in your business and where it isn't. We look at your processes, data and systems, pick the use cases most likely to pay off, and test the most promising one before you commit to a full build.

You end up with a written plan for the first project: what to build, what it needs, the risks and a realistic timeline. The plan is yours, whether we build it with you, your own team builds it or another vendor does.

Who it's for

  • Leadership teams that want to use AI but don't know where to start
  • Companies with several AI ideas that need to decide which one to do first
  • Product teams that want to know whether an AI feature is feasible before planning it
  • Engineering teams that will build AI features themselves and want a second opinion

Scope

What we deliver

  • Use-case discovery

Workshops and interviews with the people who do the work, resulting in a ranked list of use cases with their value, effort and risks.

  • Feasibility & proof of concept

A check of your data and systems for the top use case and, where it helps, a small proof of concept on your real data to see how well it works.

  • Build plan

Architecture, model and vendor options, data and integration needs, running cost estimates, risks and a phased plan for the first project.

  • Team enablement

Sessions with your team on how the proposed solution works, how to evaluate AI output and what to watch once it is live.

Tools we work with

  • OpenAI models
  • Anthropic Claude
  • Google Gemini
  • LangChain
  • Python
  • PostgreSQL
  • AWS

Process

How we work

  1. Kickoff & interviews

We agree on goals and constraints, talk to the people closest to the work and get access to sample data and the systems involved.

  2. Use-case selection

We map candidate use cases, rate them on value, effort and risk, and choose one or two with you to look at in depth.

  3. Proof of concept

We test the chosen use case on your real data, so the plan rests on results rather than assumptions.

  4. Plan & handover

We present the build plan and findings to your team, walk through the trade-offs and answer questions.

Engagement

How an engagement looks

A short, fixed-scope engagement with an agreed price and a written plan at the end. A follow-on build is optional.

  • AI Feasibility Sprint

For teams with an AI idea who want to know if it works before they build it.

    • One use case assessed on your data and systems (if you bring several ideas, we rank them first)
    • A small proof of concept on your real data, with an evaluation set
    • A written build plan: architecture, model options, running-cost estimate, risks and dated milestones
    • A readout with your team
    Length
    About 2 weeks
    Price
Fixed price, agreed before we start
  • Prototype Audit

For teams with an AI prototype who want to know what it takes to run it in production.

    • A review of the code and architecture
    • A list of the risks we find
    • A dated plan to get it to production
    Length
    About 1 week
    Price
Fixed price, agreed before we start
  • The AI Feasibility Sprint or Prototype Audit fee is credited in full if the build starts within 30 days of delivery.
  • Builds are billed per milestone. You can stop at any milestone and keep everything delivered.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask us

What do we get at the end?
A written report with the ranked use cases, the results of the feasibility check or proof of concept, and a build plan for the first project with architecture, cost estimates, risks and timeline. We also present it to your team.
Does our data need to be ready?
No. Checking what data you have and what state it is in is part of the work. If the data isn't ready for a use case, the plan says what it would take to get it there.
Will you push a particular AI vendor?
No. We compare models and providers for your use case, budget and data rules, and say so when simpler software without AI would do the job better.
Do we have to hire you to build it afterwards?
No. The plan is written so your own team or another vendor can build from it. If you want us to build it, we can continue straight into the build.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. We're happy to sign an NDA before you share any documents, data or system access.
How do we get started?
Book a 30-min call. Within 1 business day we send a short written note on fit and a proposed first step, usually an AI Feasibility Sprint or a Prototype Audit.

Have a project in mind?

In a 30-minute call we talk through what you want to build, your data and your systems, and whether we're the right team for it.

What happens next

  1. A 30-minute call

With an engineer, not a salesperson, about what you want to build.

  2. A written note within 1 business day

A short note on whether we're a good fit and a proposed first step.

  3. An NDA before any data

Signed before you share documents, data or system access.
